Hubby's Bday

Last Friday was Ariel's bday. i still went to work since i have a meeting @ 7am. He just worked for some hours then went to LTO tagaytay to renew his drivers license.

Lunch time was a treat from one of our manager. it was his bday last oct19. he voluntered to pay 80% of the bill. we also have with us our admin asst who had her bday last oct12. She and ariel shouldered 10% each of the bill. ariel invited all his engrs to the lunch. it was a good lunch.

we really planned to take a half-day off to prepare for a small salo-salo in our house for that night. the invitees are his engrs only.

nagkaroon lang ng slight problem dahil walang masasakyan yung iba pabalik ng office ( we ate in max SM Dasma). so i just ask him to bring them back to the office and iwan na lang ako sa SM to do some grocery. but the truth is i really have a hidden agenda... need to buy some presents for him. buti na lang pumayag and i was able to buy him an iPOD skin. di yung original. low budget eh. but it is still good.

nung nakabili nako, went to the grocery na to buy some softdrinks, chichira and some things that we may need for the night. and guess what.. i was also able to buy some dongA pen (red and violet) + paint brush + double sided tape and foam tape ... all for my scrapbook hobby. hehe.

sinundo lang nya ko sa SM then head to our home na kami. we ordered pansit malabon. then ayos konti ng house. mga 530pm, punta na us sa tindahan and ordered some beer. balik din us sa sm to buy some things we still need. bought also puto and cake from goldilocks.

buti na lang din nasa house si mami & dadi. they helped us with the food preparation ( ihaw + dinakdakan as requested by one of our guests).

7pm, the 1st batch of guests arrived. panay girls. ariel tour'd them around our small house. 830pm. kompleto na sila.

some pix from the munting salo-salo.

wala ako sa pix noh? ako kasi ang dakilang photographer. ok lang naman coz hubby was happy. it was his memorable bday daw. it was his 1st bday with me since we got married. i was in US last year. actually... ayaw nya maghanda. pinilit ko lang. at least .. i was able to make him happy on his special day. another accomplishment for me. yipee!

Bday Gift

Ariel and his sister Angel have the same Birthday (but of different year). He's one year older than Angel.

Can't think of a present that we can give her so i just created this LO of her daughter- Andee.

Di pa 'ko marunong gumamit ng photoshop kaya pix lang directly from the camera ito.

by the way, i have put this LO in the shadow box that i bought from the scrappin moms. Pinagpuyatan ko ito kagabi and had just given it to her this morning.

Two Years Ago

It's our 19th monthsary today. And tomorrow will be Ariel's Bday. Wala pakong regalo sa kanya. Di kasi ako makatakas para bumili ng gift.

However, I have created this poem last friday.Medyo mahaba nga lang. Please bear with me.

two years ago...
you are preparing to leave for a 5month training in india
we are just planning and rushing up things for our wedding
now...
we are married
just celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary
preparing to have kids
we're not in a rush
we are working on it ...slowly but surely...

two years ago...
we don't have a house and just renting an apartment
we used to visit the "Vacant Lot"
although we know that construction would only start
once we have completed the Downpayment

now..
we have a place to stay in, called "HOME"
we already made some improvements on it
-fencing, gate installation and built-in cabinet

two years ago....
we don't have own car
we normally rides the company shuttle bus going to work
or borrow your family van if there's an important gathering that we need to attend
now....
we have our own "ChinChin" Lancer '95 EL
it may not be brand new
it may not be our dream car
but it's the fruit of our hardwork and love

i still remember how we decide getting our own car
listing the pros and cons
listing the specifications..brand, model, fuel consumption and the others..

time flies so fast
we almost didn't notice it
but one thing is sure
No Time was wasted
we were able to enjoy every bits and pieces of it
there might some misunderstanding
but we are able to patched things up
this is because we have the 2 best spice of the recipe
it is YOU and I.
with the two of us 2gether
there would be more to come
we will still cry, argue, smile, laugh
and live Happy 2gether....forever.

I can see me loving nobody but you
for all my life
when you with me
baby the sky will be blue
for all my life........

Last Sunday, I attended the "Scrap for a Cause" event in Market2 with Ariel.

There are a lot of scrapbooking stuffs there that are really nice. Prices ranges from low to high to extremely high ( pertaining to the die cutting machine). Just able to buy some stuffs with a limited budget. But still happy with what i got:
- brads, eyelets, 4 in 1Eyelet Tool, ph Pen, Silver Stickles, Big Alpha stickers, 2 shadow box frame, Table Top Cropper, Foam Squares and 10 papers from Leirs.

Excited nakong gamitin sila but i'm pretty busy for this week. Sana this weekend pwede na.

Anyway, i really enjoyed the event. It was my 1st time to attend a workshop like this. I learned a lot.

Before... I do believe I am not an artist. My hubby was my only avid fan and supporter. But when I won a consolation prize on a Scrap challenge last sunday (hubby forced to me to join), I was inspired to do more LOs and think about of being more creative (comment ni hubby).

Some wento on my experience last Sunday:
No plans of joining the challenge because I don't have papers and other stuffs. My bad to forgot to bring most of my things and go to the event without any idea of what i want to do. But since hubby was forcing me to join, I immediately run to scrapbukan booth and got 2 papers of the same design (without paying, just advise the girl manning the booth that I'll pay later). At the middle of my work, I needed big letters and numbers. I ask hubby to buy me one but he can't chose one. So takbo ako ulit. Sa ibang booth naman to buy letter/number sticker (this time, nagbayad nako. diko masyado kilala yung may-ari eh, bka mademanda ako ng estafa. :-) ). It was really a stressful yet rewarding experience. I never expected to win even a consolation prize kasi, all works are great. Actually, habang ina-announce ni Iris yung winners, nag-i-scout na'ko of what to buy. I was in the middle of paying the Table Top Cropper, nung mapalingon ako sa stage and saw that Iris was holding my LO. I rushed to the front and .... the rest was history!

Asidde from the challenge, there was also a raffle for all the participants. And this is what I got. Nice!

By the way, in the event, we were asked to create a LO for the kids with cancer. I didn't win in this challenge. But I know deep in my heart I am still a winner for being part of the effort in helping those kids as well as their parents.

I was only able to finish 1 LO. Medyo mabagal pako eh.

isn't it rewarding?
