Hubby's Bday

Last Friday was Ariel's bday. i still went to work since i have a meeting @ 7am. He just worked for some hours then went to LTO tagaytay to renew his drivers license.

Lunch time was a treat from one of our manager. it was his bday last oct19. he voluntered to pay 80% of the bill. we also have with us our admin asst who had her bday last oct12. She and ariel shouldered 10% each of the bill. ariel invited all his engrs to the lunch. it was a good lunch.

we really planned to take a half-day off to prepare for a small salo-salo in our house for that night. the invitees are his engrs only.

nagkaroon lang ng slight problem dahil walang masasakyan yung iba pabalik ng office ( we ate in max SM Dasma). so i just ask him to bring them back to the office and iwan na lang ako sa SM to do some grocery. but the truth is i really have a hidden agenda... need to buy some presents for him. buti na lang pumayag and i was able to buy him an iPOD skin. di yung original. low budget eh. but it is still good.

nung nakabili nako, went to the grocery na to buy some softdrinks, chichira and some things that we may need for the night. and guess what.. i was also able to buy some dongA pen (red and violet) + paint brush + double sided tape and foam tape ... all for my scrapbook hobby. hehe.

sinundo lang nya ko sa SM then head to our home na kami. we ordered pansit malabon. then ayos konti ng house. mga 530pm, punta na us sa tindahan and ordered some beer. balik din us sa sm to buy some things we still need. bought also puto and cake from goldilocks.

buti na lang din nasa house si mami & dadi. they helped us with the food preparation ( ihaw + dinakdakan as requested by one of our guests).

7pm, the 1st batch of guests arrived. panay girls. ariel tour'd them around our small house. 830pm. kompleto na sila.

some pix from the munting salo-salo.

wala ako sa pix noh? ako kasi ang dakilang photographer. ok lang naman coz hubby was happy. it was his memorable bday daw. it was his 1st bday with me since we got married. i was in US last year. actually... ayaw nya maghanda. pinilit ko lang. at least .. i was able to make him happy on his special day. another accomplishment for me. yipee!

Bday Gift

Ariel and his sister Angel have the same Birthday (but of different year). He's one year older than Angel.

Can't think of a present that we can give her so i just created this LO of her daughter- Andee.
Image hosted by Webshots.com

Di pa 'ko marunong gumamit ng photoshop kaya pix lang directly from the camera ito.

by the way, i have put this LO in the shadow box that i bought from the scrappin moms. Pinagpuyatan ko ito kagabi and had just given it to her this morning.

Two Years Ago

It's our 19th monthsary today. And tomorrow will be Ariel's Bday.

However, I have created this poem last friday.Medyo mahaba nga lang. Please bear with me.

two years ago...
you are preparing to leave for a 5month training in india
we are just planning and rushing up things for our wedding
now...
we are married
just celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary
preparing to have kids
we're not in a rush
we are working on it ...slowly but surely...

two years ago...
we don't have a house and just renting an apartment
we used to visit the "Vacant Lot"
although we know that construction would only start
once we have completed the Downpayment

now..
we have a place to stay in, called "HOME"
we already made some improvements on it
-fencing, gate installation and built-in cabinet

two years ago....
we don't have own car
we normally rides the company shuttle bus going to work
or borrow your family van if there's an important gathering that we need to attend
now....
we have our own "ChinChin" Lancer '95 EL
it may not be brand new
it may not be our dream car
but it's the fruit of our hardwork and love

i still remember how we decide getting our own car
listing the pros and cons
listing the specifications..brand, model, fuel consumption and the others..

time flies so fast
we almost didn't notice it
but one thing is sure
No Time was wasted
we were able to enjoy every bits and pieces of it
there might some misunderstanding
but we are able to patched things up
this is because we have the 2 best spice of the recipe
it is YOU and I.
with the two of us 2gether
there would be more to come
we will still cry, argue, smile, laugh
and live Happy 2gether....forever.

I can see me loving nobody but you
for all my life
when you with me
baby the sky will be blue
for all my life........

The Best Consolation Prize

Last Sunday, I attended the "Scrap for a Cause" event in Market2 with Ariel.
Image hosted by Webshots.com

There are a lot of scrapbooking stuffs there that are really nice. Prices ranges from low to high to extremely high ( pertaining to the die cutting machine). Just able to buy some stuffs with a limited budget. But still happy with what i got:
- brads, eyelets, 4 in 1Eyelet Tool, ph Pen, Silver Stickles, Big Alpha stickers, 2 shadow box frame, Table Top Cropper, Foam Squares and 10 papers from Leirs.
Image hosted by Webshots.com

Excited nakong gamitin sila but i'm pretty busy for this week. Sana this weekend pwede na.

Anyway, i really enjoyed the event. It was my 1st time to attend a workshop like this. I learned a lot.

Before... I do believe I am not an artist. My hubby was my only avid fan and supporter. But when I won a consolation prize on a Scrap challenge last sunday (hubby forced to me to join), I was inspired to do more LOs and think about of being more creative (comment ni hubby).

Some wento on my experience last Sunday:
No plans of joining the challenge because I don't have papers and other stuffs. My bad to forgot to bring most of my things and go to the event without any idea of what i want to do. But since hubby was forcing me to join, I immediately run to scrapbukan booth and got 2 papers of the same design (without paying, just advise the girl manning the booth that I'll pay later). At the middle of my work, I needed big letters and numbers. I ask hubby to buy me one but he can't chose one. So takbo ako ulit. Sa ibang booth naman to buy letter/number sticker (this time, nagbayad nako. diko masyado kilala yung may-ari eh, bka mademanda ako ng estafa. :-) ). It was really a stressful yet rewarding experience. I never expected to win even a consolation prize kasi, all works are great. Actually, habang ina-announce ni Iris yung winners, nag-i-scout na'ko of what to buy. I was in the middle of paying the Table Top Cropper, nung mapalingon ako sa stage and saw that Iris was holding my LO. I rushed to the front and .... the rest was history!

My winning LO:

Asidde from the challenge, there was also a raffle for all the participants. And this is what I got. Nice!
Image hosted by Webshots.com

By the way, in the event, we were asked to create a LO for the kids with cancer. I didn't win in this challenge. But I know deep in my heart I am still a winner for being part of the effort in helping those kids as well as their parents.

I was only able to finish 1 LO. Medyo mabagal pako eh.

isn't it rewarding?

Warning: Pagsanjan Falls

Last Sept 9, Ariel's Group had a bonding in Pagsanjan Falls. Everybody's excited but only few was able to make it due to different reasons. Hay... mga filipino talaga. Mag-coconfirm tapos di sasama.

anyway...8am na us nakaalis sa Alabang. We have 2 visitors from India with us. Drive thru muna us sa Jollibee for Bfast then nung nasa bandang laguna na...the Indians bought Tshirts sa ukay-ukay (3 for 100).

We are their victims.

Malapit na kami sa Sta. Cruz when there was a split road. There was a sign that going right is to Pagsanjan Falls. So lumiko kami then bigla us nagulat nung may kasunod na us na motor. Papuntang San Pablo daw yun and information center lang yung andun.

Para kasing sinadya yung sign board para malaman sino mga di kabisado lugar and they can bring you directly to their station.

The resort that they are telling us is not a resort that we are expecting of a resort. Parang isang motel lang sya. The Boat Ride was 660 each person pero since mainit daw ulo ni hubby kaya bigyan daw kami discount. 580 na lang daw.

13 lahat us and a boat can cater up to 3 passengers excluding the 2 boatmen. We occupied 10 boats. Nung paalis na us (nakasakay na sa boat) biglang nagsabi yung may-ari na nagbigay ng discount samin na since may discount na daw us, kami na daw bahala sa boatmen. Ha? We are only thinking na TIP lang need nila kasi 660 na nga isang tao for the ride. We texted our friends who went there few weeks ago. 100 daw tip nila and they just bought them bottled water.

Kinulit ni Ariel yung Boatman namin and they said na $85 daw bayad ng mga foreigners and since di naman us tourist, kami na daw bahala.

Image hosted by Webshots.com

The boatride was good. the views are good. Pero kakatakot pa rin kahit may lifevest na us kasi parang mahina na yung boats (made of wood).

Gulat us nung tumigil us...may stop over pa pala sa mid ng trip There was a store where they sell waters and grilled pork & chicken. Ariel bought water for the our 10 boatmen.

Then we had some some picture taking..

Image hosted by Webshots.com

Nung nakarating na us sa END line. We are not amused. Ok yung falls pero parang no place to swim naman. Then may add'l bayad pa to go the falls using a balsa (P90).

Image hosted by Webshots.com

Image hosted by Webshots.com

Image hosted by Webshots.com

Medyo...1pm na nun kaya gutom na din us.But wala kami makakain dun kasi vegetarian yung mga indian na kasama namin kaya we decided to eat sa labas na lang.

Going back...tanung ulit si Ariel kung magkano para sa boatman.... sabi nung boatman...tapatan na lang daw namin yung mga tourist na P750 for each boatman. Huh?

1. Boatride is already P660. Pwede ba kaming sumakay ng boat na walang magsasagwan for us.
*** nawawala na yung matandang nagbigay samin ng discount that time tapos yung nakatao sa table tell us to talk to the boatman.

2. P750 for each boatman is too much. We only had them for 3 Hrs. And di naman ata tama or pwedeng mas mataas pa sweldo nila samin as Engrs.

Kinatapusan... We gave them P200 each.

Anyway.. we will just charge this to experience and just give warnings to others.

Tulog us then ... kinabukasan na us nagising!

Nung bumalik us sa office... I ask our friend about their exprience sa Pagsanjan.. Di naman daw sila na-harass. Mukhang yung specific na boat station na yun and may modus operandi na yun. Warning na lang po.

The name of the resort is Camino Real and/or Merra Inn. Kaka-suspetsa pa rin kasi 2 pangalan nila.Hmmp!

Addicted... Scrap-a-holic

Been to a lot of shopping for the past months for my scrapbook. Last Sept.17, was the best or worst although I know there would be more.

That saturday, we went to Ariel's Sister'st house to pick up his PC. He needs it for work since his Laptop Hard-disk Crashed. It's still being check by the vendor. We need this so we can go home early and just do the work @ home if needed.

From Cubao, we went to Megamall to meet my cousin. While waiting for her, I got to buy a lot of embellishments in Simple joy.
Image hosted by Webshots.com

Then we went to carolinas to buy some ribbons. Those ribbons we bought were hubby's personal choice and I really could say that they are good. He also insisted to buy the cutter and long nose for my tools. Got to see also that nice embellishment container which is only 60pesos kaya binili na din namin. So... this is all that we've bought.
Image hosted by Webshots.com

Image hosted by Webshots.com

Then punta na us sa SMILE. Just bought 3 Bazzill Papers and watched the girl doing a scrapbook for a customer for awhile.
Image hosted by Webshots.com

We had our dinner in Yoshinoya.

Punta din us sa National Bookstore and bought sakura pens and buttons.
Image hosted by Webshots.com

Shopping Galore Ba? Anyway, these are all I bought for my scrapbook....
Image hosted by Webshots.com

And these are for Ariel - Oil for our Chinchin, Pen and a CD Marker...
Image hosted by Webshots.com

Talo ata sha no?

Anyway... ito pa pala yung binili ko MLA (My Little Attic) last August- My 1st Kit, Journaling Pen, Flower Eyelet and some papers.

Addict na ba 'ko?

From Taiwan with Love

Ariel had been to Taiwan last June and August yet I was not able to blog the things he bought for me.

It was so thoughtful of him to remember me even he's miles away and buy me those things. On his 1st trip, he bought me a Tshirt. He also bought me thigh firmer and ankle support kasi lagi daw masakit paa ko. But the best of them all is this gym ball.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Pero I am still bad, never used it since then. So busy kasi with work and other stuffs. No wonder I got to gain 4 lbs. Kaya here I am trying to do atkins again. Its my 1st day today. Sana makatagal ako.

On his 2nd trip, I was surprised. He bought a lots of things for me. I just asked him to buy me an ID lace. But he bought those cute little butterfly clips, ID laces, little bottle for my Victoria Secret cologne, eye cover (hirap kasi ako matulog pag naka-On ang TV), Giordano Blouse and Shorts and a Lancome Make-up kit.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Tuwa talaga ako sa clothes and the make-up. Sabi ko kasi sa kanya, pag-uwi nya... punta us body shop, I want to shop for make-up coz I want to change image and cover the stress on my face. Galing ng baby ko.He was able to buy me that complete set. It comes with a pressed powder,blush-on, eyecolor, lipcolor, lipliner, eyeliner, and a maskara. Completo na diba?! Clap!Clap! Clap for my hubby! Mwah!

1.5 Year or Years?

Bago ko makalimutan. It is our 1.5Y Wedding Anniversary. We both felt sick this morning and forgot about the date. Hehehe. Sobra bang workaholic naming dalawa?!

Basta...at least naalala namin before lunch time and we're able to find time to celebrate.

Had Dinner in Dencio's in Robinson's Palapala. It was newly opened. There was a 1-man Band playing.

We enjoyed the dinner... Sisig, Pinakbet, Inihaw na Liempo, Bagoong Rice, Garlic Rice, Bottomless Icetea and Mango Flan.

Sira na naman diet ko. Bukas na lang ulit. Hehehe.

Happy Anniversary to US!!!

AWESOME COUPLE

Blessing in Disguise

Image hosted by Webshots.com

Ariel and I still have these meal coupons for our Company's 10th Year Anniversary last Friday.

It was blessing in disguise. Thanks to God. Our Company was "IN THE NEWs" both in Kapuso and Kapamilya Network last Saturday (although we were not able to watch it since we are not in our home that time). The news was not about any New Products that we're offering but because of the Food Poisoning that happened. Many were brought to the hospital. Three engineers of Ariel were affected. I got 2 of mine. Some of our friends were also affected including one of our principal sponsors.

I can still remember.... I was so mad that time coz I was so busy with work and just able to find time to eat @12:30 and the canteen is still full and the line for the food is still long. Before that event, we're already thinking how can they fit more than 1000 people in that cafeteria if its seating capacity is good for 200 to 400 people only. Else, super downtime for the company yun.

The caterer for the event was our very own concessionaire. They also handle the other big Companies in Gateway Business Park. The question now... is... what's NEXT? ... Dine In or Take Out? Drive thru na lang... Hehehe.

i need a Break...

I am so tired. been to a lot of pressure. buti sana kung work lang pero there are also some people and some attitude that are giving me headaches.

well... for now i'll be good but once they pushed me to edge then i'll get even.

actually i have this song in my head:

tell me will i ever survive
stop this tears and keep it inside
holding back my self from being "MEAN" to "YOU".

Hay... mukha pa ba kong 25?!

Time to Unwind

It's 10:34pm and I am here in the office. Just completed the data preparation and review with my supervisor for the project delay presentation today. It will be a 5min review only but we need to prepare the data for possible questions. This is a FACT in a Corporate World.

So ito ako, after being too busy for the past few weeks, blogging while waiting for my slot @ 11:35pm. Actually I would just like to vent on my work. Grabe, sobrang nakaka-pressure being a Program Manager. Handling Multiple Projects with technical and resource issue. A month ago I was handling 5 projects. Now I am handling 3 projects, but still closely working with the new Program Managers of my previous projects.Pero parang I am totally handling 8 projects. Parang di rin ako nawasan ng load. Mas nadagdagan pa kasi need to mentor and do a passdown but can't be hands off to the issues. Now, I am working on a project which I was never been involve and trying to recover from the losses and delays. Waah! Putting together the bits and pieces and dealing with people is my challenge. Really need some adjustments.

These past few days... you will often hear me sigh. Sign of disappointment, pressure, tiredness, piss off and everthing. But I still hope and pray that tomorrow there would be sunshine. Hahaha. Maayos ko lang lahat ng issues and I will be back to normal. But now and for the next two quarters.... I think It would really be tough!
