Pre-Valentine Date

After work, Hubby and I met with a friend in Starbucks in Festival Mall. We're suppose to have dinner in Serye because we would like to try their Boneless Crispy Pata. Unfortunately, they were already closed @ 9:30pm. KAINIS!

We just went to CONGGO GRILL in WEST GATE but they are also closed. Waah. I was craving for a Bulalo since yesterdaypero wala kaming makainan. Huhuhu.

There is Leslie's in Alabang but we don't want to eat there because of a bad experience on their service. We're then just left with 3 choices - Mcdo, Chowking and Jollibee. We didn't choose Mcdo because our lunch was also from Mcdo. We don't like Chowking because... we just don't feel like eating their dishes today. We just had our pre-valentine dinner date in Jollibee. I had a palabok Chix Meal while hubby had a 2-pc Burger Steak Meal. While eating, I kept on teasing hubby for a very nice valentine date. Hehehe.

Actually, hubby and I don't really celebrate Valentines ever since we went steady. I don't know why. Maybe because... we normally celebrate our GF/BF and Wedding monthsary. But still.... wanna greet everybody a HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!!

Having a Hair Loss?

I have a natural wavy hair. This is the reason why I used to go to my favorite salon ever year to get a hair rebond. I had my first treatment 4 years ago and my latest treatment was just last month. I used to have a super black thick hair strands. But since I had my hair treatments, my hair strands changed color and become thinner.

Last month, before I had my hair treatment. I was so afraid of my hair loss. But I learned from surfing that my hair fall is just normal. I don't know of any treatment shampoo so I just tried using baby shampoo for a month. I also searched the web and found about the Provillus. Provillus is a hair loss product. There were a lot of reviews about it. It was on top of the list of hair loss products. According to the reviews this is the best hair loss product available in the market. Also, as per the Provillus reviews, this product works effectively for both male and female. My husband and I will surely try it once we experience severe hair loss.

Lucky or Not with Online Casino

I don't like gambling a lot because I am not lucky at it. However, my husband wins in poker and other card games. He seems to have all the luck which I don't have. He really likes gambling but he doesn't bet a lot.

Online gaming and gambling looks exciting and fun. However, I still don't know if I want to try it out. I will just ask my husband to try it first. I especially would like to try playing the online casino. If we found that hubby is lucky then I would also try it. If I am not lucky then at less we can break even. If we can be both lucky then it would be better.

We chanced upon this online casino link. Their site is so cool and user friendly. They have almost the complete list of online casinos. They have a detailed review for each of them which are very concrete. They listed the online casinos based on their ranking, review, bonuses and payout. We would definitely check on this site before we start our online casino journey.

Sunday - Early Valentines Day

Last Sunday, even lthough hubby was sick, he insisted that we go for a lunch date. We've eaten in Tony Roma's in ATC. It was both our 1st time there. I was able to dine in Tony Roma's in the US way way back 2001. Can't compare anymore. Hehehe. We had two 1/2 slab baby back ribs and soup of the day. Hubby had a coke in can and I had my Strawberry Icetea. We were so full after the BIG Lunch. Hehehe.

Then, hubby went to Nokia. It seems like we have to wait for a long time. He just ask me to go around by myself para di ako mainip. So there I go. I shopped alone but siempre nag-kuripot pa rin. I was to buy the following:
Fashion Necklace - P100 (ATC tiangge)
Black Folder Organizer - P88 (88 store)
HK pouch bag/organizer - P88 (88 store)
Slippers - P80 (Banana Peel)

I don't know why I was so tired. We left ATC early. We just bought Tall Hot Choco and Short Caramel Macchiatto in Starbucks before finally leaving for only P20. Hehehe (with the P200 GC - gift of our director to Ariel).

We got home @ 4pm. Took a nap then attended the 5pm mass. We had an early dinner and we're early to bed. I was really feeling tired by then.

Able to...

We're able to attend a mass for the ASH Wednesday. But we're a little late. After the mass, we had a late lunch in a nearby cafeteria. We ate for only 10mins. Not sure if natunawan ako. hehehe. Pero ok na rin.

ASH Wed

We're supposed to attend a 12nn mass in a Church close to our office. But.. hubby is still in a meeting. What now?

Sometimes... i wonder... what are his priorities? Sometimes.... i am getting disappointed....
hay....

My officemates are asking me to just join them but I still believe in the saying that " A Family that prays together, stays 2gether". This is the reason that I am still waiting... waiting in vain.

In case we can't attend the 12nn mass, we'll just attend the 6pm mass. Hope he'll make room for it.

Whole Day OUTSIDE CAVITE

I am sleepy but I don't feel like sleeping. In just 30mins, we'll be preparing already for our gimiks today. i just thought of blogging.

Just as planned and expected, yesterday was a busy day. We spent the whole day outside CAVITE.

We left home @ 9:15am for the 10am appointment. However, there was a minor traffic in SLEX.We arrived in Greenhills @ 10:15am. Unfortunately, the agent came 20mins later. I was not piss because I am in the a good mood. Our talk was successful. I got all the details and information that we need. We'll just be meeting again next week to finalize everything. We're done talking @ 12nn.

Then... we went shopping. Shopping Galore na naman kami. Hehehe.
Below are the things that we bought:

Polos and Pshirt for Hubby

Blouses, Bolero and Fashion Bracelet for me

Samsung Wireless Optical Mouse for hubby

Bday gift for my cousin

We also bought a polo for Tito Ben's Bday - diko lang nakunan ng pix. Btw, we had our lunch in Yoshinoya. We just love their Beef Misono. We left Greenhills @ 3pm... now going to St. Lukes.

Tito Alfon of Ariel is getting better though they are having problems financially. If only we can help them more. Just praying for them. Also praying that they can soon sell their lots in Cubao and in Tarlac Anybody interested. Just PM me. These are really good buys.

From the hospital, we then go to Sta.Lucia. We're able to see Yellow Violet's House store though I didn't buy anything there. We just bought add'l present for Tito Ben inside the Dept. Store as well as a gift box from Papemelroti. I was also able to buy a red tagged (50% off) Capri from F&H.

Capri Pants with my Fashion Bracelet

Left the place @ 5:45pm. We arrived in Bahay Kawayan @ 6:30pm. No one is there yet. The dinner invitation was 7pm. Atat ba kami? No... we are just prompt and lucky. Lucky that there is no traffic. We thank the Lord that we didn't encounter heavy traffic that day. We don't know why. We are expecting heavy traffic because we know that Saturday is the most Traffic Day of the week.

The Bday celebrant and the other guests started coming @ 6:45pm. Some were really late due to heavy traffic in Floodway. There were lots of Yummy foods. Hubby ate a lot of Pritong Dalag. Wala kasing ganun sa Probinsya namin. Hehehe. Everybody was having fun. The kids were all hyper. The party was over @ 11pm and we got home @ 12mn. However, we're just able to sleep an hour later, we watched "Sine Totoo".

Today... hubby woke up early due to itchy throat. We had an early bfast so he can drink medicine. Now... he's sleeping. He need some rest but... we also have plans today... ayaw naman kasi papigil. Gusto daw nya mag-date kami. Hay. Just hope di sya mabinat and he get well soon.

RECAP: Suuuuubrang Bising Wikend (January 18-20)

Sa sobrang busy ko.. I was not able to post this blog entry... Recap na lang natin. Hehehe.

It started on Friday (0118/08).... after work...
No....not after work...
Few hours after work.... (nag-meeting pa kasi sila)...
We had dinner in our favorite resto... Kuya Ian's Boss Ganai.
It was a treat by Ariel's Counterpart for their group.
And siempre... dakilang sabit ako. Hehehe....
Daming food...the usual...
Garlic Shrimp, Inihaw na Liempo, Steamed Tilapia,
Adobong pusit, Sinigang na Kanduli, Calamares...
But didn't eat a lot because I was so tired...
I am still learning on the other group...
My mind and body are all tired... hehehe
We got home few more minutes before 12mn after some kantahan.
Was so sleepy.... just did some evening rituals before going to bed.

SATURDAY - 01/19/08
Left home @ 10am for my planned hair rebond...
Hubby dropped me off to the salon - Dasma Cavite.
We're supposed to have a lunch date with his counterpart in Silang, Cavite.
His visitor does not want to eat pork so we thought of bringing him to LZM.
Pero.... di na nga ako sumama. Silang 2 na lang nag-lunch.
He just bought me siopao and drinks.
Hubby was back in the salon @ 3pm.
He had footspa and haircut while waiting for me.
My hair was done @ 5pm.
I was hungry that we took some pm snacks in the nearby KFC. Hehehe.
Then... we drove home to get some paper that he needs to give to his counterpart.
Then... drive ulit si hubby... this time going to Vivere Suites.
We fetched his counterpart so that we can go to the condo near Parque Spana. We were invited by another Expat for dinner.
Hay.... kain na naman. Hehehe.
While we are waiting for the other guests, they played cards/poker.

I don't know how to play cards so I just watched TV...hehehe.
Then... after some time... the other guests starts to come.
We started eating....
Once again... there were lots of foods...
Foods that are unknown to me... hehehe...
I don't know if they are Indian or Bangladesh Foods.
So far... they are good..... though new to my tastebuds...
He cooked all those foods...
Chicken in Olive oil....
Vege salad...
Lamb...don't know the name of the dish...with red sauce...
Mash Potato with cauliflower and yellow curry powder...
Rice.... from India....Very Thin and Long grain...
The best thing I had was the.... SB coffee in a bottle.. Hehehe.
After dinner... they played poker again... while me and some of the girls are chatting in the terrace...overlooking Alabang...We can see the French Corner... very clearly..
We went home @ 11pm... of course we still need to drop off Hubby's Friend. Hehehe.
And again... I was so tired...

The worst part was...
I woke up @ the middle of the night...yes... really middle of the night...
at 3pm... my tummy is aching... it seems that I have lots of air in my tummy... I tossed and turned... I could hear my tummy crunching... what's wrong with my tummy...huhuhu... hubby was just sleeping... 'di ko na ginising... I think.. I slept after an hour...

SUNDAY-01/20/08
Woke up @ 7am. We planned to attend a mass in Pasig @ 10am.
Pero di kami umabot. Bumili na lang kami ng Pich-pichi along C5 ext. before proceeding to my SIL/BIL's dental clinic. We waited until all their patients are gone before we go and have lunch in Jayjay's in Ortigas.
They discussed some matters about their family assets. I just listen coz I know I don't have any right about it. I just know where I stand.

At 2pm, after lunch, we met with a friend in Galleria to give some things. Then we drove her off back to her office.

Then... drive ulit... this time... to QC..we visited Mitch Sy's Store to pick up the items I bought online. Also got to buy some new stuffs. Hehehe.

Lagot... wala na naman sa budget ko ito.

Then... we drove again.... now going to Mayon to visit Hubby's Tito Augusto. We're not able to visit them last Xmas & New Year due to hectic schedule. We're also able to give the gifts to his nephews. Did some chatting with her aunt. We're not able to see his uncle because he was sleeping. We left their place passed 6pm.

Then.... we got a problem... di pa kami nakasimba.. We don't know where we can attend a mass. We just decided to drive to the church near MOA. Bahala na!

Buti na lang.... we're just in time... the mass is just getting started.. the priest is just marching going to the altar. Hay....thanks to GOD, everything was in place even though we are so tired.

After the mass, ayoko na sana mag MOA kasi pagod nako. But hubby insisted that we have a dinner date because... it was our BF/GF monthsary that day and the day before that was our wedding monthsary hehehe. I was not in the mood to eat because my tummy is still not feeling well. Pero... nagpapilit na din ako. Hehehe.

We ate in Don Hen... it was our 1st time to eat there... the two of us.
Never thought that their serving is that huge. We ordered a lot.
We were laughing all the way, when all our orders came. Hehehe.
We had...10inch DH pizza, Chicken Pesto, Calzone, Mozarella Cheese sticks and bottomless green IT.Wow... it was really a lot.
We thoughts that the Calzone is just like the size of Sbarro but it was doubled. The mozarella is not a stick.. it was like a 4-PC big sized nugget.
We're not able to finish them all.. we just brought them home. Hehehe. On our way home... we are still laughing and giggling kahit.... masama na pakiramdam namin.

Again... we are so tired that after the everning rituals... we slept... there's a whole week work ahead of us....

Do you need a Small Business Loan?

I got a friend who plans to put up a business. She wanted to have me as her partner. We already planned of how the business will be. We already know where to get our capital. We will share the same amount to start our business.

Last year, I was so sure where to get my funds. I thought we will not be needing a small business loan. But everything changed at the start of this year. Our company stocks went down. Peso got stronger. Market went down. Recession is starting. I don't know where the market is going now.

My forecasted stock sale proceeds is now reduced by more than a half. If we will be pursuing our plans, I think I need to get a small business loan. Right now I still don't know where to go. I tried searching the net and found about AFSloan. I think they have the best offer in town because they offer small business loan without any application fee and hidden charges. Unfortunately, they don't offer these kind of loan in the Philippines. Do you have any recommendation for small business loan provider?

Gonna be BZ again this Weekend

Got a lot of things to do this weekend.
Below is our plan:

TODAY

After work, we're going to Marko in Imus.
We're going to buy some consumables and we'll try to look for some cabinet/organizer.
Once we got home, will start my entry for the VS Love Elsie Challenge.

TOMORROW - SATURDAY

6am - Aerobics
10am - Greenhills to meet with an agent.
Also plan to buy some native organizers, presents and personal stuffs there.
St. Luke's Hospital - to visit hubby's uncle.
Sta. Lucia - to check Yellow Violet House.
7pm - Dinner in Bahay Kawayan, Taytay Rizal for Hubby's Tito Ben's Bday.
Well.. I guess... we're gonna be home late again.
Travel from Rizal to Cavite is no joke. Hehehe.

SUNDAY

No Aero for me. I think, I'm still tired by then.
Mass in the morning.
ATC - Nokia Center
- hubby's N80 is broken AGAIN. the earpiece is not working.
- he still needs to turn-on the loudspeaker to hear the person on the other line.
Lunch date
Hope we'll be home early afternoon.
Because we will be needing some rest.
We need to charge up for next week's work. Hehehe.

Small Business Funding

I know a lot of people who wants to have a business. They have the vision and mission but they lack funds. It is hard to borrow from friends and relatives due to the risk of the business. They resort on getting Small Business Funding from banks or other lending firms.

Some banks will not grant a loan without a collateral. This is the biggest problem that some people faces. However, I have seen a lot of Small Business Funding providers online. They have different offers. But I find AFSloan better than its competitors because they offer Small Business Funding without any application fee and hidden charges. You can check more of the benefits of dealing with AFSloan in here.

Do you Accept Credit Cards?

Hubby and I have a total of 3 credit cards. We use them for straight and installment purchases. For straight charges, we ensure that we pay them immediately before the cut-off period so we will not be charged of interest. But this is not the point. The point of having a credit card is for convenience and security. We won't need to carry a huge amount of cash for big purchases. Robbers and pickpockets are just around the corner.

The use of credit card is normal in the US. The Philippines is still getting into it. It would be nicer if all the stalls in the malls are credit card accepting. Buyers would not need to fall in line in ATM machines just to get some cash to pay for their purchases.

I am also a great fan of EBAY and other online stores. I bought scrapbooking items and other personal stuffs from them. Some of them are only accepting Credit Cards on Website. Some accepts both credit cards and paypal payments. I am also planning of putting up an online store. I still don't know what will be my product. But I think, I'm going to get an Internet Credit Card Processor to serve a wider market. What do you think?

Ultrasound Tech School

My hubby came from a family of doctors. Most of his relatives are in the line of medicine. There are cosmetic surgeons, surgeon, dentists, medical technician, radiologist, internal medicine, dermatologist, OB-gyne, physical therapist, pediatrician and pharmacist. Those who were not in the line of medicines are architects and entrepreneur . Hubby is the only engineer. I find it lucky to be in the family of medical doctors. You got to learn a lot of things in terms of health and other stuffs about taking care of our body.

I have a sister who is taking up nursing in a known good medical school. I believe that a school have somehow a part in making a professional successful in his/her chosen field. Nowadays, graduates of medicine courses finds job so easy. The demand is so high. Aside from nursing, ultrasound technologist which is also known as sonographer is also in demand. A lot of school is now available for this course. There are in-campus and online. In-campus ultrasound tech schools are available in most part of the US. And most of the recommended online ultrasound technician schools are also shown in this link.

This post is sponsored.

Busy, Busy Busy

I was not able to update this blog for quite sometime now. I had been so so so busy these past few days. I was given an additional responsibility in the office because one of my co-engr just moved to a new Company in Singapore.

It's not a promotion but it's a good opportunity. I am still owning my work from my original group but once I have completed my major projects, I will move full time.

They told me that it's gonna be 50/50 (old group vs. new group). But in reality, they would need my 200%. I have no regrets. I am enjoying my work now and I am happy!

It's actually a blessing in disguise because last December, I was thinking of my future in my group. My 2 major projects are soon to finish this quarter and I don't know what will be next. I was asked by my friends to talk to my supervisor and manager but I delayed it. Don't know why.

Then.. came 2nd week of January. ....Here's the detailed story....

MONDAY
Lunch Time - Heard about the need for replacement in the other group from hubby. I was wondering who will be the replacement.

Pass 3pm - Had some discussion with a co-PM about a project and heard that he was eyed for the replacement. He told me that he was having 2nd thought because it's a hi-visibility project (being monitored by our CEO). I made a joke that if he doesn't want the position, I'll take it. Hmm. Though I wondered why it was not offered to me. Hehehe.

TUESDAY
Lunch Time - I saw the manager of the other group next to us in the canteen line. I made a joke to hubby to tell him that he can consider me. It was all a joke but he told me that he'll tell it to my supervisor. I told him that I was just kidding but he told me that he'll talk to me later.

After Lunch - I saw the manager of the other group talking to my former supervisor. I was suspicious that time but I disregard it. Then few minutes passed, my supervisor asked me for a 1:1. He told me that he heard about my interest in the other group. He also explained why he did not opened it to me. I understand. I also told him that I was just making a joke. But he told me that if I really like to move, he will not stop me. He also told me that they will be discussing it with our Director. Kinabahan ako. Hehehe.

Pass 3 pm - I saw my supervisor and the manager of the other group going to the room of our director. It seems I know and feel what they will be talking about.

Less than 30 minutes after - They were done with the meeting. The manager of the other group approached me. My supervisor told him that it's not yet time. We had a 1:1. He told me that they (my supervisor, my former supervisor, him and our director) have agreed that I am the best candidate for the position. I was shaking that time. Ang bilis ng pangyayari. He told me that the other engr is leaving on Friday. I only have 2 days for the endorsement. Wednesday and Friday only because Thursday is our Company's Thanksgiving Party in MOA-SMX (Plant Shutdown). He also gave me an introduction about the product that I'll be working on as well as the people. He also gave me some words on the people that will be reporting directly to me - their attitudes and how long they have been in the company/group.

Then I had a talk with my supervisor, he told me that their agreement is that I'll be working 50/50. My passport to move to the other group will be the completion of my projects. I told him that it is fine with me.

Then I talked to Debbie, she told me that she'll not be going to work on friday and that would mean that we only have a day for endorsement. Though, huh? I said it's ok as long as we can still contact her even on YMs. hehehe.

WEDNESDAY
9am to 11am - Meeting with Debbie
- Device Training
- Organization Familiarization
- Endorsements
- People Feedback (the team, counterparts, other groups that I will be dealing with)

1pm - Introduced to the group
- her group / my future direct reports
- The production people (operators, GLs, trainors, Process Engrs, etc)

2-4pm Line Tour
I saw the line (equipment set-up, the production LO, the testers, the units, etc)
Got some trainings on tester usage.
Familiarization with the process

Was a tiring yet happy day! I enjoyed my day.

THURSDAY
HAPPY TIME with K Brosas, Gian Magdangal, Sheryl Regis, MOCHA.
I didn't win in the raffle but it's ok, I was not expecting. I didn't Pray for it.
But still was happy because 2 of my friends won P10K each.
The party started @ 1130am and ended pass 6pm.
The lunch was served by Tamayo's. It was good.
Unfortunately, I was not able to get some desserts. Huhuhu.
Then our group, had dinner in BLUEWAVE (Shakey's Pizza).
They also agreed to go to Malate but already not feeling well so we didn't join them.

FRIDAY
Busy na on work... Reality is Here.
Need to work, work and work....

From that day ON....till today..... I've been really really busy that I was not even able to blog about our Xmas, New Year and other gimiks last Holiday season.... Hope I can blog about them soon!... Wish me luck. Tumakas lang ako ngayon... hehehe...

Ligo na Tayo!

Sa Wakas, after 3 days of no wash... I can wash my hair tomorrow. I'm so excited about it. Hehehe. I just got my hair rebonded last Saturday in INDEX salon in Dasma Cavite for only P2k. I got the Hair Rebond with 2 vials of Loreal Powerdose. This salon is quite far from our place but I am sure of their service. I also got their service last year - Hair Rebond with Semi Delino and Loreal Powerdose. I think... I got a better package this year for the same price.

The service is also good. They would not do your hair if they know that it will just be damaged in the process. Last year, they were able to repair my damaged hair from F Salon's hair rebonding . They were really good. Actually, I got different hair dresser/stylist on each of my visit but all of them are friendly and service oriented. I salute this branch coz I am also hearing scary stories on other branches of Index. Well... I think it just depends on the branch....

It's Back

A little disappointed. I think I just need to copy my blog few months ago. Bigo pa rin kami. hehehe..

Improving Skills

I remember when I was still on my pre-school years. My uncles who are Civil Engineers were my idols. I also dreamt of wearing a Hard Hat aside from being a Nurse. However, after high school, I got a change of mind. I switched to another line of Engineering. I took up Electronics and Communication Engineering instead. I have no regrets of finishing this course. I was able to get a good job and I am now building my career here. But sometimes, I still wonder. What if I took up Civil Engineering? Am I now working in the field or in the office. It tickles my fancy.

I believe that no work is so easy. Everybody needs to be trained in order to do your job correctly. There are a lot of sites now that offers trainings and qualifications. I got to see CSkills and was awed by completeness of their site. They specialized on construction. And their site provides a lot of information about CITB, the construction industry and career development. It is a must-see site if you are an employee who wants to improve your skills or an employer to wants to have a competitive employees.

Online Betting

I have first heard of online betting on my second trip to US. I was fetched by my cousin's neighbor from our San Jose CA office going to my cousins house in Sacramento. The traffic was really heavy and it took us three hours to reach our destination. I was just thankful that we arrived safely. My cousin's neighbor is a Filipino college teen who grew up in the US. We chat while driving and he somehow mentioned about his sideline. He's fond of online casino. He earns money from it and he enjoys it. I got interested but haven't tried it yet. However, just recently, I heard of a TV personality who is so addicted to online casino. I think it's worth a try but not to the point that I'll get addicted to it.

I have heard of the bet365 site and checked them as well. They have almost a complete range of online betting services. They got online casino, sportsbook facility, interactive games section, football betting and online poker. The site is also user-friendly. You can find everything in the homepage. Their site has a secure environment. You can check them here.

1st TAG for 2008 - New Year's Resolution

My 1st tag for this year came from Aggie.
See below on how it goes:

*Start Copy Here*

When it comes to New Year’s Resolutions we seem to fall into four categories:
1) quite serious about them,
2) be flippant about them,
3) do it because we feel pressured to, or
4) do not do them. So, the purpose of this little game is to let us know which category you are in.

Copy from "*Start Copy Here*" through "*End Copy Here*" and post it. Before "*End Copy Here*" tell us who you are, your site(s) (with link) and your New Year’s Resolution, or not.

Then tag as many others as you like, from one to your entire blogroll, your choice.
If you like, create an intro paragraph to your post that also acknowledges who tagged you.

NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS:

Jeanne - The Callalily Space - My resolutions are to have more time with my daughter, so doing only parttime job, have more rest in my life, keep healthy. That was the important things, there are another things that i want to reach in 2008, i have so many plans...

Juliana – Juliana's Site - My New Year's resolutions are looking for a part time job, keep blogging, and learn to cook and bake.

Michelle - Rusin Roundup - 1. Learn to be happier and accept myself for who I am, 2. Is to lose about 25 lbs., and 3. Is to stop smoking.

Karen - Grow Rich Along With Me - My resolution for next year is to achieve $3K per month passive income by the end of 2008.

Mel - Attitude, the Ultimate Power & Complain Complain Complain - “I don’t need no stinking resolutions.” I never hold to them anyway so why frustrate myself by starting them now.

Sandee - Comedy Plus - I don't need no stinking resolutions either. Years and years ago I did them because everyone else did, but not once did I follow through. Why set yourself up for failure?

Lynda - lynda's loft - My resolution is to see resolve to that which needs resolution. Like Mel and Sandee, I feel that resolutions give us more stress, however, being a person who sets goals each year, isn't that the same thing as a resolution??? Goals vs. resolutions? Goals are more general and allow for more time to complete them, a resolution requires a mind-set and immediate action, which is not always feasible... Well, that's my story and I'm stickin' to it...

Amelia - Amel's Realm - This is a list of my New Year's Resolution:
1. Health: Continue exercising twice a week, eat enough veggies and fruit, have enough rest, take vitamin C regularly and women's multivitamin during my period.
2. Spiritual: Improve my Daily Bread reading routine and my prayer life and learn more from God's Word.
3. Financial: Continue to make money online (my goal is getting €100 per month at least), be more creative in writing posts, and save most of the money.
4. General Life: Continue to learn Finnish AND practice it as best and often as I can, try out more baking and cooking recipes, continue to maintain and share positive thoughts, continue to learn to control my thoughts, continue to learn to catch myself before I start complaining and count my blessings instead, continue to stop and cherish all the little moments in life that oftentimes go unnoticed, and continue to feed my inner child and last but not least, continue to ENJOY my life thoroughly.

Max - MAX - My New Year's resolutions are to dedicate more time to my friends; to finally be able to read "Der Spiegel" in German; to be calm when organizing my marriage; to go one last time to my favourite club and dance the night away; and continue to be happy!

Eric - Speedcat Hollydale - I love chicken. Problem is that I really never get to have enough chicken! My New Year's resolution is to enact "Chicken Tuesday". On this day I will eat only chicken, blog about chicken, and promote chickens all over the world. (hormone free) Join me, won't you?

Marzie - Mariuca & Mariuca's Perfume Gallery - My resolution for 2008 is to enjoy a healthier lifestyle and to expand my Perfume Collection.

Sindi- Life Is A Roller Coaster - My resolution is to complain less, pray more and be a little more thankful for what I have.

Judy - Sugar Queen's Dream - My New Year's resolution is:To take better care of my health. To eat better, well at least 3 meals a day, I'm lucky these days if I stop for one meal a day....To help make the world a better place to live, I love the human race, but think there’s always room for change. To be generous until it hurts. To live each day as if it's my last.To make a book of our personal family recipes and traditions for each of my 3 my children, so that the traditions and family cooking can be passed on in my family line long after I'm gone and finally.......To help more with the local Human society, Animals like little kids can not fend for themselves so it's up to each of us to take care of our pets and to step in and care for all animals.....I hope that through me I can encourage my Children to be better adults and in turn to raise the Children they have or will have, to be good people with good, sound & solid values.... Peace!

Adrian - First Time Dad - My New Year’s Resolution for 2008 is to be a better father…now I don’t usually make New Year's resolutions because I never keep them but this one I better keep! Happy New Year to one and all!

Colin - Life - New Years Resolution? No way...Better to achieve more throughout the year rather than pander to the whims of a one day 'wishful thought'

Mauro - 1 Million Love Messages - My resolution for next year are:
1. Change my job (maybe work online). I'm really unhappy in the actual one.
2. Dedicate more time to my family and girlfriend... maybe start to get ready for our wedding :-) 3. Work hard in 1 Million Love Messages and reach 2500 Love messages (or more) in the end of 2008.

MidgetManOfSteel - Mental Poo - To get out of dealing with people who I have no desire in helping at the job I’m doing…catch the eye of someone who can see that I can write and be funny…and get my own ticket to happiness from my humor….and a Ferrari. While I’m doing this, I resolve to get a Ferrari.

Stacy - My Thoughts - My New Year’s Resolution for 2008 - Is to be more understanding to my children and to other people, Not to curse at others while I am driving, try to eat right and exercise, try to volunteer in my community, and to believe more in my spiritual side.

Jason -
DatCurious.com & DatMoney.com - Although, I normally don't do New Year's Resolutions (because I find it as an excuse to actually do something I should've already been doing), this year I will plan on giving back to the blogging community, especially my audience. I'm not sure how I will do it yet, but I definitely will.

Kesa - Little Aussie Cynic - My New Years Resolution is the standard..... to finally get off the smokes and to loose 8kg.... both which are possible just difficult.....Happy New Year to you and yours….Aussie

Ann - A Nice Place in the Sun - "To let the rest of my life begin as soon as possible."

Agnes - My Favorite Things My New Year's Resolution is to save money to build a house for us, save up for my pregnancy, take each day at a time, no hurrying, less worrying, less complaining and always be grateful for the blessings that I received. I also want to be less analytical of people, I can't help it, I like to interpret behavior so I hope to let it go.

Ella - Journey to this Thing called LIFE - I was not doing this since I finished school. But would like to give this a try. I may fail on some but they are worth trying. Better have plans than none at all. So here is my take - my new year's resolutions are: 1) Create a plan for our financial indepence by writing an attainable goal with commint dates, saving religiously & spending wisely (buy needs and not wants), 2) Scrapbook more- at least once a week (had been on T-mode lately),  3)Update my blog more frequently - at least once a week, 4) Be more patient - count 1-50 before getting mad, 5) stay healthy by eating right and exercising more frequently (to gain a pound is a sin) and, 6) Gain or Lose weight (get preggy or get sexy, hehe) and 7) Continue to Count and share our blessings!

Dental Insurance vs. Discount Dental Plan

Medical plan is important nowadays. It is not an investment but a protection. It helps protect our wealth and assets in times of emergency. One of the benefits that our company offers is a medical plan with a dental plan. Our dental plan includes free oral prophylaxis, 4 permanent filling and unlimited temporary filling. I never used my dental plan because my husband's sister and BIL are both dentist. We get good service for free. According to some officemates, one disadvantage of using this plan is not getting a good service. They would need to wait for a long line before getting attended. With this, I think, it is better to have a discount dental plan rather than a dental insurance.

Discount dental plans provide savings on members dental care needs. They would still pay for the service but in a discounted price. Recently, this became a good alternative to dental insurance due to cost. Discount dental plans are more affordable and easy to use.

DentalPlans.com provide solution to high cost dental insurance by providing discounted dental plans. They allow members to save money on quality dental care. They also provide different dental plans that would satisfy the need of different individuals. Once an individual find the plan that suits them, joining is quick and easy. Purchase of plan can be done online or by phone with a credit card or electronic check. So go on now and check their site to know more about the plans that they offer.

Altered Piknik Can

Today, Hubby and I just stayed in the house. We cleaned and organized our cabinets in the kitchen and bedroom. Hubby also played with his new Dart pins that we bought last night. He attached his Dart Board in our backyard.

While I was cleaning our room, I was about to throw the piknik can that I was keeping for months now but I changed my mind and altered it to make it a medicine can. Able to finish it for less than 30mins thus it was so simple.

Materials:
Piknik Can, Scenic Route PPS, MME card, Prima Flower, Bling, Modge Podge.

Personal Bedding for Me

I love taking pictures and I love making use of pictures. I use them for my scrapbook pages and greeting cards. I love giving gifts which are mostly personalized. I also love receiving a personalized gift. This Christmas season, some gift ideas i have in my mind are birthstone inspired rosary, an 8x8 scrapbook page, personalized pen, personalized mugs and personalized bracelets. I also heard of personalized blankets, bedding, pillows and even dog beds. Any picture of animals can turn into a cute and lovely Animal Bedding. This would be a nice present for friends and family. But, I also love to have one of those. Santa, can you hear me? I'm watching out. I am not crying. I am not pouting. I've been naughty but I've also been nice because I know you're coming to town. Do you have my animal bedding now?

I hope Santa would hear me but if he doesn't, I know you can read this. Can you be my Santa?

Live Chat

If gives a smile on my face when I remember my teenage years. I'm not a troublesome kid but I also have some naughtiness. When I was in my early college years, I remember that I use to join the live chat lines. This is where we dialed a number then we will hear all the noise and conversation that is going on. We have our own code name like batibot, maldita, and others. Most of the people in the chat line are teenagers. It was fun because we get to use a free chat. Identify is also hidden although at times you can give your number to a member for a personal chat by leaving the chat line. I used to be a lurker in those times but whenever I hear somebody voicing out their numbers, I dialed them and don't answer. This is so naughty of me. But those were my teenage years. The funny thing is I was also able to influenced my cousins in joining the chat. By the way, I also gained friends in this teen chat. It was not that bad at all.

I got to see the latest version of this live chat. But this time, it's not for everybody. You must be over 18 years of age to join. The thing I like about this new teen chat is that they offer a lot of things like greeting creation, leaving of voice personal, dating tips, advise for singles and a lot more. Well, I think, if I am still a teenager and still single, I would definitely give this a try. I think this would really be fun and exciting because you can meet new friends and other people from different places

Still Here....

I'm getting depressed and disappointed. I'm still in the office... as usual... waiting for my dear hubby. He's asking me a while ago to car pool with our officemate. But too unfortunate that he'll not be passing by our area today. He just then told me to wait for him.

I thought... it would not take this long. I'm now too tired and hungry. Sometimes I wonder... what does he prioritize?!. Kainis.

Actually, a visitor from Bangladesh was talking to him awhile ago and telling him to go home. He told him had been working so hard and he need some time off and socialize. But... he didn't listen. He said that he doesn't have a choose coz his boss will kill him. I just wonder how? He's so far from here (INDIA).

Sorry for this ranting. I just wish that I'll not faint of hunger... sign...

Credit Worries

There are times that we may need to make a loan to buy our dream home, dream car or even dream business. There would also be time that we will need a personal loan . The problem will arise if we have a poor credit. Many credit providers don't give loans to individuals with poor credit. Good credit standing is like a passport for us to get the loan we need.

However, there is a new website that provides loan opportunities for those with good and even bad credits. They offer instant processing on all loans. They also provide the chance to compare the best credit cards which meet our needs. We don't need to worry about this company because they were recognized as one of the leading online loan providers for those with bad credits. So what are you waiting for? If you need a loan now, go and check what they have to offer you.

Shopping Galore

After we attended Sophia's christening, hubby and I went to "Almost Christmas Bazaar" in St. James Ayala Alabang for another round of shopping. Hubby was able to buy 4 short sleeves polo from 2 different sellers. Total price was only 1000. I was also able to buy a nice blouse for only 400. See pix below.

We also got to buy some tapioca for gift and hubby's favorite "Taba ng Talangka" but was not able to take pix of these items.

Btw, the sellers in this bazaar are fewer compared to the "St. James Bazaar" but we're still able to see lots of good buys for gifts. Parang mas ok pa nga mamili in this bazaar coz it's not as crowded like the St. James'.

We're home at around 4pm... early... because hubby needs to work from home... hmmmp..

SUNDAY
We went to Pasig for Hubby's dental appointment with his sister. The rubber in his braces were changed. We also went to my parents house. I made lambing to my mom to cook some sopas. It was so good. Na-miss ko yata talaga ang sopas. I was able to finish a big bowl of it. Hehehe. We also went to a "manghihilot" because hubby's thumb was aching. But seems hubby was not satisfied with the "hilot". We left my parents house at 15minutes passed 2pm. Hinatid muna namin sister ko to her office in Libis before driving to SLEX.

Then... I met with Chona in St. James... to get my AMM Tote. It was nice for a 500 value. I love it. Hubby and I went to the bazaar again. We picked up the 1L of peppermint massage oil that we ordered. We will use some for gift and some for personal use. Naisipan namin ni hubby na mag-shop ulit. I was able to buy tshirts for gift and a sando for me. My sando is only 100pesos. Hehehe. Pix below - my sando, AMM tote and the 1L of massage oil.

From Alabang... we're home at almost 430pm. Hubby took a nap before we attended a mass at 5pm. After the mass, we also attended the Birthday/Thanksgiving party in our Church ( it was a fund raising party for the continuous construction of our parish church). We had fun watching the presentations done by different church groups.... Now... I'm already sleepy... will just finish this ...then I'll be sleeping. Night!

Online Backgammon

Online gaming is common nowadays. a lot of websites have been created for it. Hubby and I have been hearing of backgammon game and we were also advise that anyone can play backgammon online. We've seen the mister backgammon site and think that it is very user friendly and informative. The best thing is you can contact them for any query 24/7. As I was viewing their homepage, everything seems to be there - from getting started, affiliates, download, support, tournaments and details of online backgammon. It is indeed a complete site. You better check them.

I was so happy that her parents appreciated this. She is such a cute little girl.

Btw, was not scrapping lately but i was happy how this LO turned out. However, I was not able to take good pix of the LO. hehehe.

Bonding Time & Online Gambling

Nowadays, there are lots of things that can be done online. We can now do research, shop, bank, play and even do online gambling. I've already done all the things above except gambling online. I was never lucky in gambling but I can try my luck online. I got to see a website with a complete betting facilities. They have casino, sportsbook, interactive games and a dedicated online poker.

My husband plays poker with her cousins during family gatherings.I just watch them because I don't know how to play. I think it would be a nice bonding time for us if we play together online. We will definitely try this. There are other benefits of playing online like saving on transportation time and gas. We can also play in whatever attire we would want because we can play in our own home. It would definitely be fun. You too can try it.

Importance of Insurance

Recently, I have been conscious about personal finance management. I learned about insurance and investment. Insurance is not an investment but a protection. Having an insurance is a wise move because we don't know what can happen to us in the future. This will also give us peace of mind.

We just purchased our home two years ago thru government financing. It is a good thing that they automatically charge the home insurance. We have a 12 year old car and it has a TPL type of insurance.

Once we have fully paid our home loan, we will get a home insurance from a private provider. We also plan to buy a brand new car and get a comprehensive car insurance for it. But we need first to compare car insurance from different agencies so that we can choose what fits our criteria.

Lots of Coffee and a Planner

Got to see this planner from dessertcomesfirst website. I fell in love with it but... the "kuripts" in me is saying... this is just a want and not a need. 12 Tall Cups of Caramel Macchiato is equal to 1.5K PHP plus 12 cups of their xmas drinks. Diko yata kaya isama sa xmas budget ko. Besides... hubby doesn't want me drinking coffee (minsan payag pero dapat di lagi).

Let's say.... isama ko na lang sya sa wish list ko... How I wish.... marinig ni Santa. I know I've been naughty at times but I've been nice din naman eh.

I LOVE TO TRAVEL

I love to travel. I have dreamt of traveling since I was a kid. My dream vacation is in Europe. I was lucky to be in the company where I am working right now because I was given travels to California USA and Taiwan. I was also able to travel with my husband. Our first trip was for our honeymoon in Bangkok. Just this year, we were able to visit Hongkong. We found traveling fun and exciting. We would like to travel again in the near future. It could be in Singapore or in Hongkong Again.

Our first travel together was arranged by my husband's relative who has a travel agency while our travel to Hongkong was arranged by a different travel agency.

I have heard from some friends that online travel and Hotel Reservations are cheaper. I would like to try it on our next travel. Since my husband and I are already planning for our next travel, I tried visiting this site.

I found this site complete. They have everything that a tourist would need for their trip. They have the complete list of hotels, flight details, car rentals and vacation packages. They also have a complete destination for easy planning of trip. Group bookings are also available and they also give special group rates. They accept Mastercard, Visa and American Express Payment. The best part of their site is they offer a very low travel prizes. I will surely book my flights with them for our next travel.

THIS POST IS SPONSORED.

From THRILLianes to 1st Week of Xmas

Last Thursday was supposed to be fun because of the Friday Holiday. However, the attempted coup had brought some negative effect to the people. See my rantings in my previous blog entry.

But despite the chaos in Manila Pen, Ariel's group still went out for their planned outing (Pizzahut and Bowling). Their team was supposed to leave at exactly 6pm but as usual work gets in the way. I car pooled with one of his staffs to have the place reserved. However, we had some car problem. The windshield wiper broke many times. Allan needed to use a velcro as containment. Thanks to God that we're able to arrive in the venue safe and sound. On our way to the venue, we also received an SMS message from our friends/family of the curfew that was implemented and just announced that day. However, we really planned to go home @ 10:30am.

We had dinner in Pizzahut, Ariel have a vegetarian visitor so we have no choice again but to get a vege Pizza. Anyway... thanks to Palm Card. We were able to order 3 pizza's + 3 morefree. After dinner, we went to the bowling area. The staffs don't want to entertain us because of the curfew but we did a bargain that once the Ongoing Tournament finishes, we would also need to leave. The team had fun. However, the tournament finishes earlier so we were left with no choice but leave earlier. We only finished 1.6 game per player. Left the place @ 10:10pm. Hinatid pa namin ibang officemate sa Imus. Grabe, traffic sa Aguinaldo. Ngaps, more pictures here of the dinner and bowling.

Btw, before lunch I was so happy to learn that my orders from CX already arrived and hubby already arrived that we pick them up the next day.

FRIDAY - NOV 30'07
Woke up @ 8am. We left our home to Caloocan via Coastal road. Nawala kami nung nasa Caloocan na kami. But thanks to the people na napagtanungan namin. Yipee... I got my new Toys.

From Caloocan, hubby asked me where I want to have lunch. Then he saw Trinoma. Pero 'di us tumuloy kasi traffic. We just went to Megamall. Hubby bought me a simple earrings. Then, we had lunch in Yoshinoya. We also went to Craft world & SMILE. From SMile I was able to buy these items (2 rubber stamps for 50 each & a wood craft for 35 pesos).

Then we saw the GrassRoot Sale. I was able to buy 3 Small boxes for xmas gifts and a little box for organizing some of my scrap stuffs. Then, we went to SM Dept store to buy some more xmas gifts. Then, I saw a nice blouse in EDC and bought it on sale. Btw, Show below is the box I bought.
We also visited my parents house to bring some things for my siblings. From Pasig, we went home via SLEX. Buti na lang..di na masyado traffic. We ate dinner...then I started taking pix of my scrap stuffs for MARJ's RAK. Humabol pako pero di rin ako nanalo sa raffle. Better luck next time for me and Congrats to the winners. pix of my scrap stuffs here.

SATURDAY - DEC 01'07
We had breakfast in Mcdo Alabang because hubby was craving for it. Then we went to St. James Bazaar for another series of xmas shopping. We're there @ 9:30am. We shopped, had lunch and shopped again. Left the place @ 2pm. Dami ko na-shop na xmas gift hehehe. I also bought a new blouse (again).

From St. James...we went to ATC.... to shop again. Hubby was also looking for a cheaper Dart Pin 18gms but mahal lahat sila. I was able to buy more gifts then we had PM snaks in BK. After the snacks, binalikan namin yung mga items na di muna namin binili thinking na makakakita pa us ng iba.

We got home @ 5:30pm. I started wrapping gifts while hubby is scrapping... Yes. He is scrapping.. he was challenged with the album that we bought from rustans. He is trying to created his own version. Dinner lang ang pahinga namin. Sleep at past 12mn.

SUNDAY - DEC 01'07

woke up @ 8am becoz of hubby's alarm. He's wants to watch Dragon Ball Z. We had bfast. while watching TV. Then... I started wrapping gifts again. The only rest we had is lunch and the time to attend a mass. After the mass, we ate some kwek2 and kikiam outside the church.

Back at home, hubby scrapped again while I am still wrapping gifts. Grabe.. our house is a mess.

I just stopped when I ran out of gift wrappers. BTW, clearer pix of our messy and fixed area here. Went to bed passed 12mn again.

RANT

How I wish that I have scent immunity today.

Kainis. Di kaya niya naamoy sarili nya. Hmmp.

Umagang-umaga kanina...amoy na amoy na sya. May weekend naman... sana man lang naligo sya. We know malamig...pero may heater naman yung hotel.

Or pwedeng...nalito sya pero di nagpalaba ng damit....minsan kasi inuulit nila damit nila. Ewan ko ba.... babayaran naman ng company yung laundry fee sa hotel pero di pa rin sila madalas magpalaba. Buti sana if di sila nakaka-perwesyo. Kayo foul talaga eh.....

Hay.... I hope maligo sya bukas!!!!!
