THERE are still GOOD PEOPLE out there

Last Saturday, we left home early for a wedding that we need to attend in Siniloan, Laguna. Instead of passing SLEX, we needed to pass by Tanay Rizal due to some important things that we need to do in Pasig : go to my parents house to give the construction tools needed by my dad & to give my sister's tuition fee, meet with BIL to give the old gas stove for Ariel's Ate & meet with Ariel's friend (Peter & Marose) who are also going to the wedding.

Everything is going smoothly, not until we reached Antipolo. Ariel saw that the car temp was increasing. We stopped and they checked it. The radiator is very hot. It was lucky that we stopped few steps to a car repair shop. The mechanic saw that the blower was not working so he bypass "something" to make it work. They also give us water for the radiator. They charged us 400pesos.

We thought that we are already safe but when we reached the Zigzag road, the temp is again increasing. Ariel put some water in the radiator. They we drove again. In Teresa, our car stopped automatically, Ariel had a hard time starting it up. However, we were still able to drive till Morong when the car totally went down. Ariel called our mechanic but still it didn't help. One of his friend (Ariel) was coming from Angono. After 15mins, they came and checked the car. They helped us looked for a mechanic. The mechanic was still taking lunch so we needed to wait. Peter & Marose just went along with Ariel to the Wedding Venue. They are needed there at 1am and it was already 12nn.

While waiting, Ariel went to the near vulcanizing shop and ask for some water. He is willing to pay but the owner did not accept it. He also asked for some water from the owner of the house where we stopped. Few minutes more, the mechanic came. He checked it and asked Ariel to drive more to the vulcanizing shop. After checking using water & air, he found out that it was that radiator. It might be cause by the non working blower that morning. He accompanied us to Morong town proper to the Radiator Shop and ask us to come back to his shop after the repair to tune up the car.

The repair was done at 2pm. We took lunch under the Mango tree near the shop. We bought lunch in a nearby cafeteria. Borrowed utensils & tray. My bad that I was not able to took pix of us. It was a special moment Ngarag na ata ako sa disappointment at init. The repair man charged us 250php but Ariel gave 300. We think it was not enough for the work done but he was just good. Then we went back to the car shop of the mechanic that 1st check our car and had our car check, he said it's ok. No need to tune up. Ariel tried to pay but didn't accept it. He said that we are still far from our destination. We know we owe him some amount because he drove to the place where we stopped and even drove with us to the radiator repair shop (about 500meters away from where we were). We felt really good after that incident. There are still good people out there. GOD bless those people.
